Library System: Kids

Kids

If you are a kid who visits the library, or checks us out from afar—welcome!

Did you know that librarians are sometimes like detectives? How, you might ask? Well, when you visit us at the library and tell us you have to read a story for school—we begin by asking you questions, seeking clues. For example, we might ask you “What kinds of stories do you like to read?” or “What was the last story you read, that you really liked?” or “Did the teacher say you had to read a particular type of story—mystery?” What you tell us, helps us to help you better.

When you visit or call us over the phone—we are glad you did. Talk to your favorite librarian about books, your hobbies, if you had fun coming to a library program, or what you thought about the summer reading program.  Be sure to tell us too, what you would like the library to do and have for you!
